Why SNotes is the Better Evernote Alternative
See how SNotes stacks up against Google Keep, Obsidian, and Evernote.
SNotesEvernoteLightweight & Blazing Fast
Evernote has grown increasingly heavy, bloated with complex features, slow loading times, and constant upsell prompts.
SNotes is built for immediate thought capture. No clutter, no lag — just clean, responsive sticky notes that open in milliseconds on any device.
Data Sovereignty & EU Privacy
Evernote is owned by Bending Spoons and stores user data on US-based cloud servers under US jurisdiction and CLOUD Act provisions.
SNotes is 100% engineered and hosted in the European Union under strict GDPR protection. We never sell your data, display ads, or scan your notes.
No Vendor Lock-In & Open Formats
Evernote locks your data inside proprietary .enex archives, making migration to other tools difficult and time-consuming.
Your thoughts belong to you forever. Export your entire library to standard Markdown and JSON in a single click whenever you want.
Fair & Transparent
Recent changes drastically limited free plans to 1 notebook and 50 notes, while doubling subscription prices.
SNotes offers generous, transparent access without artificial paywalls on your basic creativity, backed by sustainable, privacy-first principles.
